Jim Brown has been an attorney with the firm for several years, focusing his practice on SSI and SSDI representation in Illinois. His legal career began in 1990 in Joliet, where he worked as a legal aid attorney representing low-income clients. For five years, he handled a wide range of legal matters. This included helping people obtain needed government benefits such as food stamps, SSI, and unemployment compensation.

What types of disability cases do your attorneys handle?
Our firm represents clients for both SSDI and SSI claims. We handle all stages of the process, from initial applications to disability appeals and federal court litigation.
Who will represent me in my disability hearing?
One of our experienced Social Security attorneys will personally represent you during your disability hearing. We ensure you are fully prepared for questions the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) may ask and provide thorough documentation to support your claim.
How does your contingency fee work?
We work on a contingency fee basis, which means no money up front and no hourly fees. Our fees are always approved by the Social Security Administration (SSA) and must fully comply with SSA guidelines. We file our fee agreement with the SSA in every case.
What medical conditions qualify for SSDI or SSI?
Many physical and mental health conditions may qualify, such as fibromyalgia, lupus, heart disease, and depression. Eligibility depends on the severity of your symptoms and whether or not you can perform Substantial Gainful Activity (SGA).
Do you only represent clients in Illinois?
No. While our main office is located in Illinois, our team also represents disability claimants across the United States. We can assist clients remotely or in person, depending on their needs.
